Robert E. “Pinky” Knauf

CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – Robert E. “Pinky” Knauf, 86, of Cathedral City, Calif., died July 3 at Manor Care Medical Center in Palm Desert, Calif.

He was born May 7, 1928, in Greenford, to the late Walter and Mildred (Abblett) Knauf.

Mr. Knauf was a 1946 graduate of Greenford High School. He owned and operated Indio Body Shop in Indio, Calif., retiring in 2005.

Survivors include two daughters, Kim (Daniel) Narvaez and Timilie Gordon, both of Cathedral City; a son, Ricky Knauf of Palm Springs, Calif.; a sister, Vivian (Wade) Schisler of Austintown; two brothers, Roger (Deloris) Knauf and Dean (Patti) Knauf of Salem; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Brad Knauf.

Arrangements where handled by Sunset Funeral Care in Redlands, Calif. Private services will be held at a later date.
