William A. Wright

LISBON – William A. “Bud” Wright, 75, of Wellsville Avenue, died at 6:55 p.m. in the emergency room at East Liverpool City Hospital.

Mr. Wright was born April 14, 1939 in Wellsville, a son of the late Donald W. and Eva V. (Williamson) Wright, and had lived in Lisbon since 1957.

He worked as a coal miner and had worked with various mining companies over the years, most recently with Ohio Coal and Construction in Wintersville, where he retired in 1987.

He is survived by his wife, P. Jane (Cusick) Wright, whom he married March 20, 1965; daughters, Mary Jane (Gene) Blackburn, Hope E. Wright, and Brenda Lee (Shawn) Sorgman, all of Lisbon; sisters, Donna J, Hawkins of Columbiana, and Mary (Lloyd) Richards of Lisbon; brother, James “Skip” (Betty) Wright of Leetonia; five grandchildren, four step granddaughters, and three step great granddaughters.

A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the family’s camp off of Steubenville Pike Road south of Route 39 at Highlandtown, just follow the signs.
