LISBON – Charlotte May Crothers, 82, of Lisbon, died at 5:24 a.m. Monday at Vibra Hospital in Boardman, following a sudden illness.
She was born Jan. 5, 1932 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Garrett and Ruth Ann (Ruhl) Willis.
A lifelong resident of Lisbon, she retired from D.W. Dickey and Sons/Agland Co-Op, Inc. after 35 years of faithful service.
She was a member of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her five children, Wesley Crothers of Lisbon, Alton (Elizabeth) Crothers of Rootstown, Randall Crothers of Lisbon, Rachel Pierce of Salem, and Aura Lea (Joseph) Artle of Longwood, Fla. She also is survived by her eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, five great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, and one step great great grandson. She also leave behind one sister, Garrie Dickey of Mesa, Ariz., her niece, Joan Guy of Lisbon, who was like a sister to her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Cindy Carlisle, interim pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the church.
The family also suggests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Paul T. Gerrard Scholarship fund or to the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, 111 East Chestnut Street, Lisbon, Ohio 44432.
