Forrest ‘Pete the Painter’ Ellsworth
HOMEWORTH – Forrest “Pete the Painter” Ellsworth, 69, of Homeworth, died Monday at Alliance Community Hospital.
Born Sept. 12, 1944, in Alliance, he was the son of the late Harold and Margaret (Smith) Ellsworth.
Mr. Ellsworth graduated from Goshen High School in 1963 and was self-employed as a painter at Ellsworth Painting.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Wanda (Blackmon) Ellsworth whom he married on July 27, 1963; two sons, Dale (Shary) Ellsworth of Columbus, Ga., Robert (Cindy) Ellsworth of Norwich; a daughter Joyce (Tim) Vizzuso of Homeworth; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; 10 sisters, Ruth Weigand of Kent, Maryelva Urdiales of Akron, Margie Fitzgerald and Twyla (Bob) Painter of Salem, Irene Shea of Saginaw, Mich., Karen Willard of Deerfield, Sandy Kepner of Sebring, Elaine Roberts of Massillon, Cheryl Urdiales of Canton, Debbie Moreland of Alliance; three brothers Harold O. of Goldsboro, N.C., Wayne L. of Canton and Ron A. of Alliance.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Freer officiating.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and the hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
