Lester Emanuel Bollinger

SEBRING – Lester Emanuel Bollinger, 89, of Sebring passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at Crandall Medical Center.

Lester was born in Martinsburg, W.Va., on April 15, 1925, to the late Emanuel and Sara Agnes (Keefer) Bollinger.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked for the West Branch Local School District as a custodian for 25 years. Mr. Bollinger was a member of East Goshen Friends Church, American Legion, Smith Grange, volunteered for Salem Regional Medical Center and enjoyed woodworking, oil painting and ceramics.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Eleanor (Reynolds) Bollinger of Sebring, whom he married on Nov. 24, 1956; and a sister Doris Baronek of Warren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Louetta Coats, Katherine Spellman, Margery McElwain; and a brother George Bollinger.

A funeral service will take place at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014.

Friends may call the hour prior to the service from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
