Mary Jo (McKinney) Jones

SALEM – Mary Jo (McKinney) Jones, 70 of Salem, died at 6:40 p.m. Thursday at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Jan. 1, 1944, in Churchville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Doy and Hazel (Cox) Carder.

Mrs. Jones was a 1961 graduate of Lewis County High School. She worked in restaurant management at Forsythe’s Dinner Bell, Chen’s Chinese restaurant and Super USA of Salem for many years. She was a member of Tri-County Church of God.

Survivors include two sons Robert (Denise) McKinney and Chris McKinney, both of Salem; a daughter Stacie (Tony) Seacrist of Youngstown; five brothers, Ron Carder and Jim Carder of Camden, W. Va., Don Carder of Churchville, W.Va., Denny Carder of Weston, W.Va., and Dick Carder of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; a sister, Lois Holden of Pricetown, W.Va.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Her body was donated to science to further cancer and arthritis research.
