Robert C. Fisher

SALEM – Robert C. Fisher of Salem died Tuesday at Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born on March 1, 1945 in Ravenna, the son of Everett and Ruby Eckels Fisher.

He enlisted in the United States Coast Guard on March 7, 1961 and he was honorably discharged on April 2, 1965.

He was the owner of Bob’s Golf Cars in Berlin Center, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Crowl Fisher; his daughter, Bonnie (Robert) Romine; his son, Robert (Amy) Fisher; his stepdaughter, Jill (Carl) Curtis; his stepson, James (Roula) Weingart; nine grandchildren and a great grandson.

Honoring his request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held in the Hope Cemetery in Salem. The Honor Guard of Salem Amvets Post 45 and VFW Post 892 will hold a military service to honor his service.

The family requests that material tributes may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Borowski Funeral Service and Oak Meadow Cremation Services.
