NORWOOD, NC – William Scott Hiscox, 62, of Norwood passed away early Wednesday morning, Aug. 27, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Albemarle. Father Peter Fitzgibbons will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014 at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood. A rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Edwards Chapel.
Scott was born Feb. 23, 1952 in Salem, Ohio to the late William Thomas Hiscox and Shirley Rae McDevitt Hiscox.
He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an active member of Wheelin Sportsman Club where he participated in many outdoor activities.
Scott was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church where he served with the Knights of Columbus and was former president of St. Ann’s Parish Council in Sebring, OH and was a retired salesman.
Scott and his wife, Glenda were both natives of Lisbon, OH. Scott will be remembered for his kind and caring personality. He easily made friends and never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Glen and Felicia F. Gallo.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Gallo Hiscox of the home; daughters, Melissa Anne Hiscox of Albemarle, Emily Hiscox Smith and husband, Jeremy of Norwood and Alicia Hiscox Parisi and husband, Christoper of Bath; seven grandchildren, Luke, Grace and Jack Smith, Sophie and Stella Shahan, Mollie Eanes and Liam Parisi; sisters, Julianne Little of Lisbon,OH, Kimberly Hiscox and companion, Linda Kyser of Prattsville, AL and Kelly Hampson and husband Rev. Keith Hampson of LaFollette, TN; one brother, Kevin Hiscox and wife, Tammy of Lisbon, OH.
