Bill J. Albrigh

SEBRING — Bill J. Albright, 97, of Copeland Oaks in Sebring, died at 7:05 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at the Crandall Medical Center in Sebring.

He was born Dec. 29, 1918, in Moultrie, Ohio, the son of the late Alfred and Eliza (Reed) Albright.

He worked at Alliance Machine as a machinist for 10 years and owned and operated Dairy Queen on Mahoning Avenue in Youngstown from 1950-1957. He developed Salem Brookview Manor in 1957. Bill and his wife owned standard bred racehorses for 27 years. He was a member of the North Georgetown Lutheran Church, Homeworth 499 F&AM, Alliance Elks #467, North Georgetown American Legion and Alliance Country Club.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

His wife, Evelyn (Berger) Albright, whom he married Oct. 16, 1941, preceded him in death Aug. 10, 2007. Also three brothers, Ted Albright, Calvin Albright and Joe Albright; and a sister, Evelyn Hannay, preceded him in death.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home in Salem with Pastor David Parry officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Salem Honor Guard after the service.
