Joan Tullis
WASHINGTONVILLE — Joan Tullis, 86, of Washingtonville, died on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Canfield surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on May 15, 1931 in Salem, a daughter of the late Emmet and Mary Krautner Longbottom.
Joan was a lifelong area resident and had attended the Robbins United Methodist Church, Washingtonville, and had worked at Sitler’s Florist, Columbiana for many years. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Joan also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Her husband, William K. Tullis, whom she married on Aug.28, 1948, preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2008.
She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Billie Sekely and her fiancé, Jerry Lanzendorfer of Canfield, and Stacy (Ron) Antonucci of Boardman; a son, Ky (Jenita) Tullis of Washingtonville; a sister, Averill Gottke of Paulding, Ohio; a brother, Chuck (BJ) Longbottom of Columbiana; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda McCoy, and three brothers, Raymond “Chow” Longbottom, Paul Longbottom and Lloyd Briggs.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home with Dana Blackburn officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at the Washingtonville Cemetery.
