Richard Frederick Jr.

MASON, Ohio– Richard Frederick Jr., 80, of Mason, formerly of Leetonia, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Cedar Village surrounded by his loving wife and friends.

Dick was born Wednesday, Aug. 14, 1936 in Leetonia, Ohio to Richard and Clorice (nee Bohner) Frederick. He married Audrienne Ann Mercure at St. Patrick’s Church in Leetonia officiated by the Rev. Warren Braun on June 7, 1958. They had 58 wonderful years together.

Dick served in the Army for three years as a microwave radio repairman in Germany. He graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. After working in the trucking industry as a supervisor and terminal manager, he returned to college and received a degree in computer programming. He retired in 1991 from ITDC, a company that taught computer programs to business and government employees.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Clorice Frederick; and a brother, Gary Frederick.

Dick is survived by his wife, Audrienne “Audy” Frederick; niece, Kim Minehard; nephew, Rick Frederick; and many great-nephews and great-nieces whom he loved as though they were his own children.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040 with Father Robert Farrell presiding. Burial of the urn will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Leetonia, Ohio at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dick’s name to Mount Calvary Cemetery, 38281 Old 344 Rd., Leetonia, Ohio 44431.
