Gordon A. Simpson
CARNATION, Wash. — Gordon A. Simpson, 70, of Carnation, Wash., formerly of East Palestine, died peacefully in his home early in the morning on July 20 after a prolonged struggle with cancer.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Donna J. Simpson (Rife); two children, Scott G. Simpson (Kim) of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Juliet M. Protas (Ben) of Redmond, Wash.; four grandchildren; and two brothers David B. Simpson (Lee) of Aliquippa, Pa., and James A. Simpson of New Waterford.
Born Sept. 17, 1946, in Youngstown, he was the son of Dr. Alexander Simpson and Evelyn Simpson (Rice).
Mr. Simpson graduated from East Palestine High School in 1964 and graduated from University of San Francisco with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He did computer programming for IBM and worked in the information technology industry for over 40 years.
The family is planning a celebration of Gordon’s life. Details will follow shortly.
Arrangements were handled by Flintoft’s Funeral Home and Crematory in Issaquah, Wash.
