John Arthur Bryan

KENSINGTON — John Arthur Bryan, 70, of Kensington died Thursday at his home in East Township, Carroll County, after a battle with cancer.

He was born on Feb. 12, 1947, a son of the late George A. and Rita (Kelly) Bryan.

He worked as a machinist for Minerva Machine, Barclay Machine and L.W. Nash. He was a farmer and carpenter. He graduated from Carrollton High School and was a member of St. John’s The Evangelist Catholic Church in Summitville.

He married Diane Marie (Kiewall) Bryan on Nov. 11, 1967. Also surviving are two sons, Bob Bryan of Kensington and Dan Bryan of Minerva; three sisters, Mary Ellen Rutledge of Carrollton, Donna Edie of Bowerston and Deloris Maxquart of Hebron; and three bothers, Raymond Bryan of Salem, Bill Bryan and Earl Bryan, both of Kensington.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave., S.W. New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Maple Cotton Funeral Home in Kensington.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church the Rev. Steve Wassie officiating. Burial will be at St. John’s Church Cemetery in Summitville.
