LEETONIA — Louella Deffenbaugh, 78, passed away early Thursday morning, Oct. 12, 2017, at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem.
Mrs. Deffenbaugh was born June 3, 1939, in New Kensington, Pa., a daughter of the late Chalmer and Carmel (Sposato) Lodge and had lived in this are most of her life.
Lou had been a florist for several years and owned and operated Bittersweet Flowers in Leetonia. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Cornersburg.
She is survived by her husband, David A. Deffenbaugh, whom she married Aug. 3, 1958; two daughters, Sherrin Stambaugh of Columbiana and Sheila (Mark) Kastner of Lisbon; a son, Stephen Deffenbaugh of Leetonia; four grandchildren, Katie (Kyle) Kramer, Zachary (Chelcey) Stambaugh, Kaley Kastner and Megan (Nathan Schramm) Kastner.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa DiPanfilo; and her son-in-law, David Stambaugh.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Leetonia with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home in Leetonia and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
