Marjorie J. Bruderly

SALEM — Marjorie J. Bruderly, 85, died at 8 p.m. Saturday Oct. 14, 2017 at the Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 25, 1932 in Salem, the daughter of the late Emerson F. and Zella (McConnor) Greene.

She was a 1950 Salem High School graduate. She was last employed at the former Daniel E. Smith Jewelers for 10 years, and also worked at the First National Bank and in the office at the former Crane-Deming Co. of Salem.

Marjorie was a member of the Salem First Christian Church and the Rebecca Circle at the church. She was also a member of the Elks Auxiliary Lodge # 305 of Salem and enjoyed swimming and sewing.

Survivors include her husband, F. Ben Bruderly, whom she married April 14, 1951; one daughter, Pamela (Rich) Reid of Defiance, Ohio; one son, James (Ruth) Bruderly of Salem; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ewena McConnor Greene and Lola Mae Schaffer.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Salem First Christian Church with Rev. Leonard Moore officiating. Calling hours will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Church.
