Evelyn Seth Foster

WINCHESTER, Ky. — Evelyn Seth Foster, 90, formerly of Columbiana, passed away Monday afternoon, Feb. 19, 2018 in Winchester, Ky., where she had made her home with her daughter Susan in Kentucky.

Evelyn was born on May 4, 1927, in North Liberty, Pa., a daughter of George and Nellie (Rumbaugh) Seth. A Grove City High School graduate, she attended Grove City College for two years. She married Robert Foster on June 4, 1948, and they moved to the area in 1952.

Evelyn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she was very active in her early years. She excelled at ceramics, cross-stitch and doll-making, and looked forward to joining her friends at her card and dance clubs. Her flower garden was a passion, and she loved making homemade salsa for her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Barbara Foster of Hermosa Beach, Calif., Sheri Lamoncha and her husband Mark of Columbiana and Susan Edwards and her husband Barry of Winchester, Ky.; 10 grandchildren, Carrie (Tony) Spehar, Rob (Audra) Foster, Michael (Sheena) Foster, Christian (Melissa) Unger, Seth (Bridget) Unger, Kelly (Darian) Willits, Heather (Christopher) Hudson, Brandon (Kristi) Lamoncha, Brenten Lamoncha and Bronson Lamoncha; 14 great-grandchildren, James and Gavin Foster, CJ Unger, Xaden and Xaleah, Seth Jr., Coleman, Trent, Gavin and Leighton Unger, Layla and Kaiya Willits, and Bowen and Emery Hudson; and one brother, the Rev. LaVerne Seth of Toledo, Iowa.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Robert, who passed away Aug. 2, 2007; her son, Robert Foster; and six siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm St., Columbiana, with Perry Chickonoski officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until 1:30 p.m., an hour and a half before the services, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made in Evelyn’s memory to Hospice East of Kentucky, 407 Shoppers Dr., Winchester, KY 40391.

The family has entrusted Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana, Ohio with the arrangements for their loved one.
