COLUMBIANA – Dorothy Sauerwein, 93, of Columbiana, died Thursday morning at Salem Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 31, 1924, in Youngstown, she was the daughter of Herbert and Edna (Rohrbaugh) Lingafelt.
Mrs. Sauerwein, a Canfield High School graduate, was a member of Paradise Church and had been employed at the former Next to New Shop in Canfield. She and her husband ran Sauerwein’s Farm and Market.
Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Sauerwein, whom she married on Dec. 15, 1945; her daughter, Phyllis (Ross) Porter of Columbiana; three sons, Charles and Cha’lette of Salem, Robert and Kim of Columbiana and Ed of Canfield; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marion Flowers of Poland.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm St., Columbiana, with Pastor David Parry officiating. Interment will be at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
The family will receive friends an hour before the services at the funeral home.
