Clarence Beverly

LISBON — Clarence Beverly, 83, died Friday at Salem Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 12, 1935 in Mousie, Ky., a son of the late John P. and Delphia (Moore) Beverly.

He worked as a press operator at GM Lordstown until retiring in 1997. Previously, he worked at Demings in Salem and at the pottery in Lisbon.

He is survived by his children, Carol (Jay) Laughlin and Lori (David) Garn of Lisbon, Richard (Lyndel) Beverly of Leetonia, Michael (Kathy Jo) Beverly and Gerald (Beth) Beverly, both of Lisbon; his sisters, Rita (Bob) Heim and Freeda (Hurkus) Combs of Lisbon; two brothers, John (Tina) Beverly of Calcutta and David (Sheri) Beverly of Salem; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane (Morella) Beverly in 2013.

Services will be held at noon Monday at the Lisbon Assembly of God with Pastor Greg Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the service.
