Mary Jane Grossen
NEW WATERFORD — Mary Jane Grossen, 90, of New Waterford, died at 11:50 p.m. Saturday at Vibra Hospital of Mahoning Valley where she had been a patient.
Born Oct. 30, 1927, in Poland, she was the daughter of the late William Offenbaker and Mabel Gertrude (Baughman) Bell.
Mrs. Grossen graduated from Struthers High School and had been employed as a purchasing manager for General Electric prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of New Waterford.
Her husband, Marlin Grossen, with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage, preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2015.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Grossen of New Waterford and Paul Grossen of Cleveland; two daughters, Joyce (Keith) Keslar and Sandra (Jay) Nunamaker; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Hammer.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home (linsley-royal.com) in East Palestine and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the Zion Lutheran Church in New Waterford with the service beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. William Wilkins of the church will officiate. Private burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Zion Lutheran Church of New Waterford.
