Vivian Sanders

LISBON–Vivian Marie “Nana” Sanders, 90, formerly of Sunset Drive, died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday at Parkside Health Care Center.

Vivian was born Sept. 4, 1927 in Salineville, a daughter of the late Harry Maher Duncan and Doris Mae (Welsh) Duncan.

Vivian grew up in Salineville, and held various jobs throughout her lifetime including working for Chemline Corp., the Columbiana County Courthouse and Community Action Agency.

Vivian prided herself on being a part of the “Rosie the Riveter” workforce during World War II and was also a member of the Lisbon First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Gerald E. Sanders of Lisbon; daughters, Michele “Duffy” Hurst of Lisbon and Vicki A. Drotleff of Florida; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald C. Sanders.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Clark officiating. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery. The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon until 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Vivian’s memory to the Lisbon VFW Post 4111, 210 E. Lincoln Way, Lisbon Ohio 44432.
