William “Bill” Odorizzi Sr.
CENTERVILLE — William “Bill” Odorizzi Sr., 94, of Centerville, Ohio, died Friday at the St. Leonard Health and Rehab Center, after a brief illaness.
He was born on July 8, 1924, in Flushing, Ohio, a son of the late James and Mary Odorizzi.
Bill had two sisters and four brothers who preceded him in death.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. Bill worked and retired as a metal pattern maker at Eljer Plumbingwear.
Bill played baseball and softball in Salem and enjoyed bowling and most importantly golf with his son. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame sports and the Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by his son, Bill Jr., and his daughter-in-law Mary Beth (Beall) who reside in Springboro, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly, whom he married on Jan. 3, 1946.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 at St. Leonard Church with a Memorial Mass to follow.
