Laura May Burton

LISBON–Laura May Burton, 90, died Thursday at Continuing Care of Lisbon.

Born Aug. 4, 1928 in Glenmoor, she was a daughter of the late Clarence J. and Bertha Elizabeth (Rambo) Robinson,

She worked as a grill cook at the Appleseed Restaurant and at Crosser’s Diner. She also worked as a cashier at Crooks in Columbiana, Theron’s Market, and Cori & Bud’s Market in Glenmoor.

Survivors include her daughters Constance (Roger) Flory of Lisbon and Deborah Holderbaum and her companion Joe Trussell) of Minerva; a daughter-in-law, Marla Lasko of The Villages, Fla.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first Husband, Merle R. Esterly, and second husband, Byron M. Burton; her son, Lance Cpl. Lawrence A. Esterly who died in Vietnam; and two grandsons.

A member of Zion Lutheran Church in Deerfield, Fla., she was a 1946 graduate of East Liverpool High School.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Weber Funeral Home with the Rev. Matt Doerle of Crossroads Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home
