Charles J. Frankland

EAST PALESTINE — Charles J. Frankland, 88, of East Palestine, died at 2:36 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus.

He was born Jan. 16, 1930 in East Palestine, a son of the late William and Lucille Early Frankland and had been a lifelong resident of the community.

He was a 1948 East Palestine High School graduate and a Veteran of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers serving during the Korean War. He had retired as a machinist at the former Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill.

Hw was a 70-year member of the East Palestine Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Loretta (Stuart) Frankland; three sons, James (Cheryl) Frankland of Poland, Mark (Kathy Mattozzi) Frankland of Struthers and Robert Frankland of Southington; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Molly and Riley. A brother, Richard (Carol) Frankland also survives him.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
