James Harold Ford

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — James Harold Ford, 57, formerly of East Palestine, but a longtime resident of Jacksonville, died at 4:25 a.m. Friday in Florida.

Born April 24, 1961, in Beaver Falls, Pa., he was the son of the late Andrew J. Ford and Magdalen O. (Haller) Ford.

A 1979 East Palestine High School graduate, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in the Gulf War. After being discharged from the Navy, Mr. Ford enlisted in the Army Reserves.

Survivors include two sons, James Ford of Jacksonville, Fla., and Andrew Ford of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Jessica Sapp of Georgia; eight grandchildren; a brother, Daniel (Marcy) Ford of Darlington, Pa.; three sisters, Cyndi (Bruce Campbell) Ford of East Palestine, Debra (Jeff) Cope of New Waterford and Nancy (Frank Ross) Hostetter of North Carolina; and a special friend, Donna Tattersall of Jacksonville, Fla.

A private interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in East Palestine, with a public memorial service to be announced at a later date.
