Mary Theresa Wray
SALEM, Conn. — Mary Theresa Wray, 82, of Salem, Conn., died Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, Conn., after a short illness.
She was born in Alliance, Ohio, on Aug. 1, 1936, the daughter of Rudolph and Rose (Zocolo) Menichelli. She lived in Salem, graduating from Salem High School in 1955. She moved to the Washington D.C., area in 1960 where she met her husband, Donald P. Wray who survives her. They were married in Arlington, Va., in August 1962. After approximately 20 years of living in various places from California to Virginia as a devoted Army wife she settled in Ballwin, Mo., a suburb of St. Louis when her husband retired there. She did spend a year back in Salem, Ohio, in 1966-67 when her husband spent a year in Vietnam. She moved to Salem, Conn. in 2012 in order to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Donald P. Wray Jr and his wife Arlene Rozzelle of Grosse Pointe, Mich.; a daughter, Stephanie Queuvreaux and her husband Robert of Salem, Conn.; a sister, Mary Lou Hartzell of Salem, Ohio, and grandchildren, Griffin, Julian, John and Anne.
Funeral services will take place in Arlington National Cemetery on a date to be determined. The Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home of New London, Connecticut, assisted the family.
