Wilda Mae Butcher
SALEM — Wilda Mae Butcher, 90, of Salem, died at 3:02 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at the Salem Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 19, 1928, in Salineville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles and Naomi (Gross) Wheatley.
Wilda was a self-employed hairdresser. She was a wife and mother of four, grandmother of seven, great-grandma of one. Wilda was hard working, courageous, a fantastic cook and had an amazing sense of humor.
Her husband, David M. Butcher, whom she married Sept. 20, 1968, preceded her July 20, 2009.
Survivors include two sons, Robert (Diana) Cronin of Lisbon and David Butcher II of Salem; two daughters, Judi Atkinson of Salem and Sandi Haas of Beloit; two brothers, Alvin Wheatley and William Wheatley, both of Salem; grandchildren, Daniel Cronin, Ashley Smith, David Butcher III, Lauren (Charlie) Cano, Hannah Atkinson, Shae Haas; and two great grandchildren, Charlotte Cronin and Rekker.
Besides her parents, a sister, Margie and two brothers, Charles and Ronald, and a grandson, Damian Maloy, also preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Mary Jo Bruinooge officiating.
