SALEM – Anna Lepping, 86, died at 10:38 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019 at Salem Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 9, 1932, in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edward and Kathryn (Bates) Herron.
Anna was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She was a 1950 graduate of Salem High School where she was homecoming queen. In her younger years, she worked at Strouss Department Store and later at Hansell’s store. She spent many hours in her garden.
Her husband, Robert R. Lepping, whom she married Oct. 17, 1953, preceded her in death March 30, 2018.
Survivors include two daughters, Monica (Brad) Pastore of Salem and Roberta (Larry) Jenkins of Massillon; a sister, Jean Bowman of Arizona; grandchildren, Jake (Bree) Pastore, Danielle (Luke Shanklin) Frantz, Elizabeth (Michael) Staubach and a great-grandson, Leo.
Her daughter, Kathryn Marie Lepping and her brother, Richard Herron also preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan, 17, 2019, at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Robert Edwards officiating.
