Norman C. Morris

ALLIANCE — Norman C. Morris, 98, of Alliance, died Monday with his family by his side.

Born Dec. 29, 1920, in Homeworth, he was the son of the late Walter and Elsie (Grimes) Morris.

Mr. Morris attended Alliance High School and served in the Army during World War II. He retired as a foreman at Transue and Williams in 1983 after 43 years of service. He was a 78-year member of the North Georgetown Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Young of Alliance, Debbie Bishop of Massillon and Rhonda (Mark Roose) Morris of Alliance; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Kenneth Morris of Mesa, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Harriet (Berger) Morris, on Oct. 22, 2009.

A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in North Georgetown with Pastor Angie Storer officiating.

A time of visitation will be held the hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
