Marilyn J. Bergert
LISBON–Marilyn J. Bergert, 92, of state Route 517 died at 3:10 p.m. Thursday at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born Dec. 4, 1926, in Canton, a daughter of the late Peter and Bertha (Essig) Peterson, and had lived in Lisbon since November 1956, when she married her husband Bill.
She had been employed as a stenographer in Canton.
She was a former member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church and was a member of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur D. “Bill” Bergert, and a son, Peter L. Miller.
She is survived by her son, Robert L. Miller (Kathy) of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter, Jane Lynn Carroll (Alan Altomare) of Guilford Lake; son, James S. Bergert (Pauline) of Alpharetta, Ga.; son, Daniel L. Bergert (Ellen) of Jackson, Ohio; are giver Janice Hively; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Mary Jo Bruinooge officiating. Private burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Lisbon Presbyterian Church choir or Lisbon Music Study Club.
