Warren promotes hate, diviseness

One popular dictionary defines a bigot as “one who regards or treats members of a group with hatred or intolerance.” U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., fits right in.

Warren wants badly to be president of the United States. During the weekend, she was in top form during a speech to a left-wing group in New Orleans. Here is the crux of what she had to say:

“Let’s just start with the hard truth about our criminal justice system. It’s racist. It is. And when I say our system, I mean all the way. I mean front to back. We’re talking about the front end on what you declare to be illegal, on how you enforce it, on who gets arrested.”

From legislators who enact laws to police officers and sheriff’s deputies who enforce them, to judges and juries who punish offenders, it is all one gigantic racist conspiracy, according to Warren.

Let us get one thing straight: In a nation this large and diverse, some racism exists. Some in law enforcement exhibit it.

But making an indictment of everyone and everything involved ignores the vast majority of those — particularly law enforcement officers and deputies of all races — who want only to serve and protect.

And to insist that minority members of state legislatures and Congress are somehow dedicated to racism is absurd on its face.

It has been suggested Warren owes our nation’s justice community an apology. But what would that be worth, coming from a politician eager to divide us by pandering to haters?
