An open letter to the person stealing cemetery urn
To the editor:
To whom it may concern,
Are you enjoying the large urn that was recently put in your garden area? Did you check the side of it to make sure the name “Cecilia Leasure” was taken off? Just curious: what possible enjoyment could you have looking at stolen grave marker?
Recently we discovered that the grave marker for my husband’s grandmother had been stolen from Grandview Cemetery. It is a large cast iron and/or steel urn about 3 feet tall and about 2 feet wide, and it clearly had “Cecilia Leasure” in raised letters cross the base.
We are hoping that someone will have a change of heart and return the urn to Grandview Cemetery.
