Passing along responsibility of murals

To the editor:

In the past few years, since the inception of my “Murals of Salem” idea and under the auspices of the Salem Preservation Society, my associates and I have produced and hung seven murals.

Our first mural, “The Stark Electric Railway Company,” hung on the original street car station which was demolished by the property owner. It has since been rehung on the Instacopy building on Sugar Tree Alley, thanks to misters Berlin, Kenst and Bibbee.

We recently donated some of our mural money to the Buta-Charles Burchfield Project in the newly-named Burchfield Trace. Due to my other interests and activities I am divorcing myself from the mural project. However, all of the mural money that I have raised in the past has been turned over to my associates namely David Stratton, Donna Chappell, Camille Franzen and Virginia Grilli who will continue to make murals and accept the responsibility for maintenance of all murals.
