ROC invites community to Christmas service

To the editor:

I am writing on behalf of the ROC of Salem. The ROC is a Christian youth ministry located on South Lundy Avenue in Salem. Our goal is to reach young people with the message of Jesus Christ and get involved in a church youth group. We are not linked to any one particular church. We work hard to provide a safe haven for young people in a culture inundated with drugs.

The ROC is sponsoring a Christmas worship experience as a way of saying thank you to the local church community for your support. Since we no longer have an official ecumenical Christmas service, the ROC invites members from all churches to come together at the United Methodist Church on South Broadway from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1. This service will be led by Daniel Snoke from Pittsburgh. Daniel, along with a symphony quality pianist and stringed musician, will prepare our hearts and minds for Advent. This is a traditional service that will bless all ages.

A free will offering will be received to help in the ministry of the ROC. People are welcome to contact the Methodist Church at 330-337-9531 for more information.
