‘Nite at the Races’ was a big success toward scholarships

The Salem Italian American Educational Fund and the Salem Italian Club recently co-sponsored “Nite at the Races.”
The event was a huge success. We would like to thank all who attended, participated, volunteered, contributed and/or donated. We thank you for your generosity and willingness to invest in the education of future scholarship recipients.

In April 2000 the membership of the Salem Italian American Club decided to pursue a federally-approved scholarship fund. In 2005, and after a three-year probationary period, we received our permanent status. The Salem Italian American Educational Fund is now a 501c3 Charitable Organization. The Italian American Educational Fund continues to help students to further their education. To date, over 418 scholarship recipients have shared in the disbursement of over $207,400 in scholarship awards.
