Burning moneyWed, April 23, 2008 @ 7:52PM I didn't used to complain about rising gas prices. I certainly didn't like expensive gas, but I could deal with it. Gas at $2.50, then $2.89, then $3.10 just didn't seem so totally unreasonable to me. But when it jumped from $3.10 to $3.50 seemingly overnight, I reached my breaking point. But what does that mean? Am I going to drive less? Not likely. I already drive as little as possible. There isn't much I can do to reduce my driving. Am I going to get a more fuel efficient car? Not feasible. With all the money I'm wasting on gas, how will I ever be able to set any aside for a new car? So I'm screwed. Like most people, I'm going to have to suck it up and pay a fortune to fill up my tank. 'You really knocked the crap outta that one'Mon, April 28, 2008 @ 9:13PM This is what I despise about baseball. The New York Yankees hit the ball out of the infield one time in the top of the sixth inning and scored four runs. Three infield hits and one hit batsmen gave the Yankees a 4-2 lead. Garbage. I know, I know, it's all a part of the game. But Aaron Laffey pitched brilliantly, minus one pitch to Alex Rodriguex, and has absolutely nothing to show for it. He had a no-hitter through five innings. I would argue that there should be some kind of stat for garbage runs scored but there's already too many stats in sports as it is. I'm not even really a fan of the Cleveland Indians, but I like to see teams actually earn runs. In a game that's gone ridiculously in favor of the offense in the last decade, it's a shame when pitchers aren't rewarded for solid outings. Hopefully by the time this one ends, Laffey doesn't leave the ballpark with a l
