UAW, supporters rally outside Ventra

A messge has already been sent. The union has been voted out, yes out by the employees in the previous years. They got tired of paying for nothing they couldn't get on their own.

Not only did these SCUM BAGS (I'd put it in size 300 font if I could) cause a major inconvenience for anyone trying to get past Ventra yesterday, they apparently parked in the plaza on 2nd street and were shuttled down there. That is NOT a public parking lot and they took up most if it, those businesses had no where for their customers to park for at least an hour.

I am not against unions, but Salem can't afford to lose 450 jobs. Salem is barely a drop in the bucket to someone like Khan. At the first sign of problems he is likely to pack up and move everything to Mexico. I'd like to hear the other side of the story from the Salem plant employees.

Salem News now has 2 articals with interviews from the UAW why on earth wouldn't they find an employee who doesn't want the Union, somebody with good things to say about Ventra. OHH that's right is the Salem News they never get both sides of any story.

I don't care one way or another. It's the attitude that all union people are less than human

All these big wages and benefits does not apply to everyone. Just like different pay scales in management.But i guess it easier blame all for a few.

swager, it is a well know fact that companies intimidate employees whom want to form a union and they could be fired for being enthusiastic toward the support of a union, so just because it was voted down does not necessarily reflect the contention of the workers.

It's a well known fact that the union was voted out and has been voted down. Also, according to people I know that work there it seems to be the overall opinion that they STILL do not want to unionize. Heck, go read the same article on the Mj website. Why don't the UAW and "supporters" just leave these workers alone?
