HEADLINE: Math problems are a problem for job-seekers, employers say

" Eighteen questions, 30 minutes, and using a calculator is OK.

They are asked how to convert inches to feet, read a tape measure and find the density of a block of foam (mass divided by volume).

Basic middle school math, right?

But what troubles General Plastics executive Eric Hahn is that although the company considers only prospective workers who have a high school education, only one in 10 who take the test pass. And that’s not just bad luck at a single factory or in a single industry."

One example of union 'excellence'. One of thousands.

"Just think maybe they can apply for wel-fare and food stamps.Just like the wal-mart people. "

If they aren't making enough to live on, maybe they should cut back, or get some training for something better. They are there because they want to be.

"No i feel sorry for them.Because this is more of the Republican way. Keep taking from the little guy ."

What a liar you constantly are.

Ha ha ha ha ha! Wrong again, dullard. The DEMOCRATS run your union, you know, the union that sold your boys down the river at AS? YOUR UNION took from the little guy, while union heads sit in their mansions.

Do you hate the rich guys that run the unions as much as you hate the rich guys that own the business and sign the paychecks?

What an ultra-maroon! What a nin-cow-poop!

I work for every penny I have, dullard. Unlike the welfare and disability leeches that you are so proud of and defend every chance you get.

I also find it very sad how obsessed you are with my work. When you get off your fat, chair-shaped *** and do something useful, then maybe you'll have room to speak, tub-hanger.

You must really hate the new tub-hangers getting hired in to your old haunt, I make more than them.

Considering Lincoln was a Republican and the democrats did everything they could to stop the Civil Rights Act...should a minority ever vote for democrat? >>>>>>>On this day in 1964, Everett Dirksen (R-IL), the Republican Leader in the U.S. Senate, condemned the Democrats’ 57-day filibuster against the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Leading the Democrats in their opposition to civil rights for African-Americans was Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV). Byrd, who got into politics as a recruiter for the Ku Klux Klan, spoke against the bill for fourteen straight hours. Democrats still call Robert Byrd “the conscience of the Senate.”

In his speech, Senator Dirksen called on the Democrats to end their filibuster and accept racial equality.

Come on Mr. Hettinga you know that water fountain and the loss of parking spaces for your customers to park in will be good for your business. That water fountain will be having people flocking into your store in no time. All you have to do is cough up some more tax money to pay for it and it's upkeep. If anyone seriously believes that one I have a bridge in Brooklyn I will sell you real cheap.
