"When the bill was passed one of its stated intentions was to save money by reducing the state prison population by diverting more felons to local probation and treatment programs."

The money burden shuffle. So in the meantime, we lower the costs on taxpayers by decreasing prison population and now we grow the responsibility of local costs and create repeat offenders because this system is a failure. This system is not a solution is a pacification.

How many violate probation? Or maybe the question should be? How many violate probation and a blind cheek is turned to it?

Welcome to the quality of life that is deteriorating our communities and growing the crime population.
