How can we have an overstatement of funds by $118,779, yet nothing is missing? I guess as long as it was only the taxpayers that got screwed this money doesn't matter. If I am handed a bank account book that says there is $118,779 in it, and it isn't there, then the money is missing. The taxpayers were cheated here, and whether it was intentional or not we lost money. It is a darned shame someone besides Mr. Johnson hasn't stepped in to investigate this. Isn't there a democrat in this county that cares too?

Stofit--don't kid yourself. This isn't a crusade for the county taxpayers Dave Johnson is on. It's all political. You can be darn sure if the treasurer had been a Republican, you wouldn't hear a peep out of Johnson.

OSU, your statement is as politically motivated as your accusation is of Johnson's intervention. This issue transcends any party attachment. I dont care who becomes involved in this issue, I just want answers.

Isn't that like saying let the fox guard the hen house?

Poolboy, I am an Independent and am sick and tired of the games both parties play so no political motivation here. I stand by my statement that you would NOT hear a peep out of Davey Johnson had the treasurer been a Republican. I likewise am interested in hearing the answers, but keep the politics out of it.

This wouldn't even be an article if Giambroni wasn't essentially Johsnon's de facto press secretary.

Courthouse server has emails. He could also ask a judge to subpoena Bolon's home computer. Computers don't disappear unless there is a cover up. Barborak should save time and resign.

And servers have backup tapes. Those emails can be recovered.

poolboy why do you keep repeating everyone's statement, afraid you'll forget what they said. OSU is right if this was one of Johnsons puppets you would never know what happened. Johnson thinks he can bully everybody but he can't. he is just out to get a new political job by making himself look good. you should join his cause POOLBOY.

Let me help you Stavros. In the article Barborak states his computer crashed. He had the County IT tech try to "resurrect" (forgive me Im quoting again) but was not successful, and then provided Barborak with a new computer. The harddrive to the broken computer was sent to a company by the name of Phoenix to recover the information on the from the harddrive but was unsuccessful. Now the harddrive is missing. Really, a harddrive from a govt computer is missing? How much sensitive info is on that harddrive? One would think extra precautions would be taken to track ANY piece of equipment that contains sensitvie info. And if the info on the harddrive was lost, Phoenix should provide a certificate of destruction ensuring the harddrive was destroyed. Failure to do so leaves the liability in the county's lap. And it appears this is what we have right now.

So now back to the emails. The county has its own servers. Servers are "pack rats" when it comes to information. to b

When it comes to information, servers stores EVERYTHING from every computer on its network on their harddrives. In other words, those emails are stored on the server. The On top of that, info on the servers are backed up nightly. This means if the servers crash, all that stored info is backed up on magnetic tape.

Both the county has servers, and WESBANCO has servers. The emails are there. One just needs to know where to look. Now, to answer your question. Why do I repeat everyone's statements? First, I didnt repeat everyone's statements. Just those that posted extremely good points. Second, I will quote someone's post do this reinforce good ideas/comments/questions. I do this in hopes that others with intelligent thought will pick up on that (which failed in your case). And third, I dont care if its Dave Johnson, Mike Halleck, Larry Curly or Moe. As I stated prior, this issue transcends any political party.
