I'm looking forward to the dog play area. My dog would love to have some time with other dogs, but we don't really know others with dogs that could bring them over. Sounds like this would provide a good way to allow dogs to socialize with each other.

I also like the idea of having events that are dog friendly.

While generally I have great respect for the Humane Society I do not have any for Salems. First we already have a well recognized pet store in the Yard Bark that does a great job of supplying things needed for pets and feel that this is trampling on their business. But c'mon do we really need a puppy play area??? And has anyone tried to get a dog from this branch of the Humane Society which has ties to Angels??? The restrictions are so ridiculous that they would rather see these animals stay caged forever than give them a loving home. Too many of these so called rescues have gone way too far that its impossible to obtain the family pet anymore. So it leaves us with the dog pound. And did you know that the best dogs especially puppies are pulled from the pounds before you get to see them and sold at a reduced rate to the shelters. Leaving the rest of us to choose from pit bulls. Lovely family pets. Not. In trying to help these shelters have become the Nazis of the pet world!
