I agree that our current tax structure is wrong and has to be changed, however, I'm not certain which change would be the fairest and easiest to understand. I would be for everyone having skin in the process and simple enough to get rid of the IRS.

notSocialist, Yes, it is true, you got me. President Obama is for a progressive tax structure. I think you will find that most of the candidates that show any promise at all of winning the a Presidential Election have a similar position.

notSocialist You say that Obama is a communist. You say he said he didn't like the Constitution because it didn't address redistribution.

Below is a link to the facts about that lie filled story. After insinuating that I am ' intellectually dishonest' Are you 'intellectually honest' to read that story?

...Continued)... At one time, companies like Blockbuster or Kodak seemed as permanent as Mount Everest. But with one unpredictable innovation, everything changes. It once again proves the folly of so-called “planned economies.” No matter how smart politicians think they are, their odds of being able to predict which companies will succeed are about as good as finding a Blockbuster store powered by Solyndra solar panels."

Think about it!

Just a reminder...

Mike Huckabee

"Today, a harsh lesson in why governments shouldn’t meddle in the marketplace……Just nine years ago, Blockbuster Video was a colossus of American business, with 9,000 video stores nationwide. But then came DVDs by mail, then vending machines, then digital movies on demand. And now, the end of an era. Blockbuster will halt its video by mail division and close its last 300 company-owned stores. They’ll also cut 3,000 employees, who can watch Blockbuster’s streaming video service as they sit at home, collecting unemployment. It’s a chilling reminder of how dynamic the marketplace is...(continued)...

notSocialists, I refer you to the political forum in the We need a changte thread where Kozy said, "We really need a way to fire Obama if for no other reason than he has lied about everything!" I ask you to be honest here. Could Kozy62's statement that the President has lied about everything possibly be true? Is it possible that this man became the president of the United States by lying about everything? If Kozy62's statement is not true then by the same rules that you hold the President to, isn't Kozy62 lying? Please be honest.

On another subject, I have replied to your Ammo Watch topic in the general forum with some suggestion as to where you can find some 9mm Ammo at a reasonable price. Of course 22 longs are still another story.

Kozy62, You continue to take me to task for my support of this President. Please allow me to point out that in this very thread I said, "I am not happy either with the President being unaware of things I think he should have been aware of." also in this same thread I have admitted that this President has at times has been unable to keep some of his promises. I believe that happens to every President no matter how honest. Since you have ignored my request not to say grace before Breakfast, even though you are well aware that it will make me uncomfortable, perhaps you will allow me to ask a favor or two from you in return. First, could you please find for me anywhere in the hundreds of your posts on this site where you have ever said a good word about this President or his accomplishments. If you are unable to find anything that fits that description, could you please honor me with a second favor, please find a dictionary and look up the definition of 'Hypocrisy'. Thank you D

BTW...8AM at Bob Evans on November 19th...first annual get together of those who post here. This old conservative, Christian, believer in the Constitution and limited government will take all you liberals on if I have to, but I am asking those who agree with me to be there. This will be a time of getting to meet and talk about non political things. No fighting or name calling.

At 8AM, it might be busy so please let me know how many. We want to sit together...Joe

And yes, contrary to what you might hear...I will say grace.

Then you're blind to the facts.

"Let us also remember that any President, no matter how honest, will at times be unable to keep his promises. It comes with the job. "

Obama deliberately lied. He and his staff knew in 2010 that MILLIONS would lose their health insurance because of ObamaKare. He still went out and made the claim.

People make mistakes, this was calculated.

" I believed that they want to tie a communist agenda to the President."

Obama is a communist. His mother was, his father was, his mentor Frank Marshall Davis (who REALLY liked small brown boys, read Obama's poem 'Pops') was, in his books he said he 'seeked out Marxist professors'. He said he didn't like the Constitution because it didn't address redistribution.

What more do you need?

Can anyone forget H.W. Bush, "Read my lips: no new taxes." (Altho I guess they weren't "new" taxes--he just raised existing ones! lol)

Yes, all presidents "adapt" around statements made. But we have heard more "I didn't know", "I wasn't aware of" from this president than ever before. Regardless of political point of views, no one can say those statements have been good for his office or the USA. It is no wonder people don't believe he didn't know something when they've heard that line dozens of times before.

RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news.

Please, can we leave this?

And can we make a pact not to do #12:

Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)
