The WB schools have been LIVING on the same money for the past 20yrs. The LAST tax was 1994! A BOND issue was past in 2004 for the new schools that ONLY cost 20% to the TAXPAYERS. U have to OWN property and HAVE an INCOME to be a TAXPAYER! The "NO's" ENJOY bringing the "YES's" down...do NOT be apart of it! We ARE West Branch! SUPPORT good schools...so the blue collar jobs SUCCEED!

"Just because you don't have enough energy to go out and improve your standard of living doesn't mean everyone else wants to go threw life with nothing. "

I live within my means. I also can spell "though". I guess those union teachers you are so proud of kind of failed with you, huh?

"Where do you think your tax dollars goes when we create all these low wage jobs.. "

What low wage jobs? This article is about West Branch wanting more tax money.

Maybe West Branch shouldn't have built more school than they could afford to maintain. But that would be too logical.

School districts are all in the same boat.

But some think the teacher should bare the brunt of it.

Less pay ,less benefits ,make the kids go to school ,make them learn ,babysit them. But of course no discipline or they get sued.

Mean while Mommy and Dad give them cars , cell phones ,tablets and cares less where there at

Okay, we're no longer WB school district, but like bug, we used to be.

I always thought WB had pretty good schools and teachers.

But, how do you guys think the schools should get more money? Costs have gone up.

Or is it a matter of them having wasted money recently? Or you think they need to tighten belts somewhere, and then they can ask for money?

(And having better schools does help property values.)

But as I'm no longer in that district, I really do want to know what is motivating the thinking here.

(I will say, I have voted no on many increases for schools, so I'm not grinding an axe here.)

"Lets get rid of those good wages and replace them with minimum wages and more gov. asst. "

Dear union hack: How about we just leave the wages as they are? If they don't think they're making enough money, they can go elsewhere.

This will fail, just like last time. People are taxed out. Property owners are tired, and taxed out.
