I thought the standard was, if he knew what he did was wrong, he was competent to stand trial. He obviously did know because he hid and ran and made it look like he would kill himself. But now if I am depressed, I might not be guilty? Now who is insane? Depression is so common these days that virtually no one could be sent to trial for anything. This world has lost site of too much.

Now who is insane? LAF

The Judge and the lousy prosecuting attorney we have for letting this "intentionally" happen.

I have seen trials postponed with some of the best tricks in the books but this one? Can it be any more obvious? LOL

Maybe the question should be who has the conflicting schedule? What's another $2500 right? No skin off their backs, right? This system in this county is a friggin disgrace.

Cyndi, with all due respect. If this angers you that criminals have been afforded a new excuse, you might want to around and blame the very same healthcare dynasty you are associated with.

Watchdog, I take care of elderly and physically disabled people in their homes. I do not define what is an illness and what illnesses can make a person incompetent to stand trial. Mine is the caring end of healthcare. But I understand where you are coming from.
