I say first off, fire Dunham and then vote out all the school board memebers. After that make sure you vote no in November.

Whoever the reporter was covering this story indeed did miss the most important story of the meeting if this post is true. Either that or the reporter left early and trusted that the Board would send them all the important events the Board took action on. If the latter is true, the Board should not only be ashamed of approving a retire/rehire policy but should also be ashamed of attempting to hide it.

how convenient that one of the biggest news stories from that board meeting was not even mentioned in the article- the decision by superintendent Dunham to retire and his request to the board that he be rehired. Also no mention that the district- which will be so cash poor this summer that treasurer Phillips may need to resort to short term borrowing- is planning on purchasing a new bus. I hope the taxpayers remember in November, since at last months meeting Dunham stated that he would ask the board for authorization for a November levy. Maybe with Dunham retiring the board can explore sharing a superintendent with another area district to save money, but that of course won't happen. I am quite sure he will retire, collect a sizable pension, and be rehired - only in the public sector would this nonsense be tolerated. Maybe we will get lucky and YSU will hire them as their new president! If the board wants to improve the district, accept Dunham's resignation and appoint Steve Rohan
