Iran has been doing that for years. Maybe it's spreading.

It's foolish. of course. The Bible says the Jews are the 'chosen people'. Not smart to go up against God.

Just read 1 page online that still has me sputtering.

goodnewsaboutgod dot c o m or type in Jews started WW2.

Bet you didn't know Germany was the only country the Jews didn't (yet) control which is why the Jews started the war.

And the USA--well, everything you think you knew about us and the war is just wrong too.

Uh-huh. (It's all so unbelievably awful I gotta read more from those people--it's one of those totally disgusting yet strangely fascinating sites--kinda like those pictures of weird characters shopping Walmart)

Just finished the book Bonhoeffer--a German pastor killed for participation in plots to kill Hitler. I learned a lot.

The Holocaust is probably the best example of why good intentions should not be allowed to grow to extremes.

I think many forget that if there were no Jews, our Savior wouldn't exist.

I've been to Haifa, not one of the 'tourist' cities, but the people were interesting to talk to. Also pretty wild seeing so many walking around with sub-machine guns (IMF).

Have been catching up on news since returning home.

Just learned a bill unanimously passed OH senate that would require a unit of world history to be required in HS.

Evidently not currently required but usually taught because of questions on test required for graduation, but test being revamped and no more world history questions, so fear is, no more world history taught.

I am glad lawmakers are being proactive here. By virtue of size and location, many in our country are already pretty ego-centric. We need to know more about the rest of the world and history is the place to start.

I don't understand why people pick on Jews. Especially Christians.

I think this is still very needed.

1 in 4 people in the world are currently anti-Semitic. There were recently 2 shootings at Jewish facilities.

Although, anti-semitism is very high in Europe and they have nearby memorials in the actual places atrocities happened, so I know just remembrances aren't enough.

But hopefully some will be touched, influenced, and learn something as well.

We just returned from seeing the Jewish section in Prague. Imagine a building with room after room, wall after wall, filled with nothing but names and dates of birth and deaths of Jews killed in WWII. I've never been anywhere with so many people absolutely silent for so long.
