R. Wesley “Wes” Werner

EAST PALESTINE – R. Wesley “Wes” Werner, 60, of 198 West High St., died at 11:05 p.m. Thursday at The Medical Center, Beaver, Pa.

Mr. Werner was born April 29, 1948 in Salem, a son of the late William J. and Grace L. Shannon Werner and had lived in this area all of his life.

He was employed as Information Systems Manager at the Beaver County Times, Beaver, having worked there the past 39 years. He was a member of the First Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, the former Roberta J.“Bobbie” Chysh whom he married Jan. 16, 1971; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa (Joseph) Hric of Solon and Michaelann (Aaron) Oates of East Palestine; a son, William Wesley Werner of East Palestine; two brothers, D. Russell (Patty) Werner of East Palestine and K. Lester Werner of Greensboro, N.C; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Rev. James Legge officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Cemetery, Beaver, Pa. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to the services on Monday.
