Mary Elizabeth Booth
EAST PALESTINE — Mary Elizabeth Booth, 96, formerly of East Martin Street, died at 10:50 a.m. Friday at Assumption Village where she had been living since 1999.
Mrs. Booth was born May 31, 1911 in East Palestine, a daughter of Max and Sadie Shultz Neubauer and had lived in this area all of her life.
She was a homemaker and member of the First United Presbyterian Church of East Palestine. She was also a member of Pandora Rebekah Lodge 743 of Columbiana and East Palestine Chapter 381 Order of the Eastern Star.
Her husband, Rolland M. Booth, whom she married Oct. 22, 1934, died Sept. 8, 1998.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Ann (James) Garrod of Salem; a son, Wayne (Judy) Booth of Clarkson; three grandchildren, Leslie Booth, Mark Booth, and Bruce Wolf; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Donald Aull officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
