SALEM — A list of events planned this weekend in Salem for the Steel Valley Super Nationals:



Thursday

- The Dunkin Donuts Thursday Night kick off cruise 6-9 p.m. (At the east end of town by Wal-Mart.) with D.J. Ron.



Friday

- Flagraising ceremonies by the AMVETS Post 45 Honor Guard at 6:25 p.m. at the Key Bank and Salem Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge live band stage located on the front lawn of city hall), followed by the Car Cruise Specialists, Mirror Image until 10 p.m.

- Big Foot on display at Expert Tire from 6 to 10 p.m.

- D.J. Big Rick at the Timberlanes Stage from 6-10 p.m. at the Main Show Lot. Italian accordianist at the Green Rose Bistro from 6 to 10 p.m.

- D.J. at Mikes Penn Avenue Grille until 1 a.m. - Mist tent all day.

- Loud Mouth Cowboys at Price 2Sell Music on East State Street.

- D.J. on the deck at B.B Rooners until 10 p.m.

- There will be a new, large show car lot with Y-Town Tunes 50/60s D.J Bob at the Butech Bliss lot between South Ellsworth and South Broadway avenues from 6 to 10 p.m. with food and activities.

- D.J. at the Salem Club until 10 p.m.

- Bikers rodeo from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Side Door with Rewind playing from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.

- Cornhole tournament and deep fried turkeys.

Bikers burnout pit behind Fernengels Tavern and D.J. Ron in front from 6 to 10 p.m

- Hot rod and hot rod diesel truck dynomometer form 1 to 7 p.m. on the corner of Prospect Street and Newgarden Avenue sponsored by Powermaax Performance, Salem Oil and Santee Auto. Sunoco racing fuel will be available until 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

- D.J. at the Foxes Den from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.

Rockers Rukus at the Flying Pig Saloon on the newly expanded deck from 9:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m.

Light rock and blues band Fire Light at the Hickory Rib from 6 to 10 p.m.

- The Mark Scheuring Band playing Classic Rock at Stooges Sports Bar and Grille from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. The burnout pit and D.J. Chip spinning the tunes at the Stadium GM Superstore from 6 to 10 p.m.

- Also a 50s, 60s & 70s band tribute including several sets with members of the national act from 1962,

Randy and the Renegades, under the canopy at Donnell Ford from 6:30 to 10p.m.

- Bounce House, kids games & activities by the First Friends Church at Donnell Ford.

- Mariacci Band at Jalisco Mexican Restaurant on East State Street from 6 to 9 p.m.

- Drive-in theater at Wal-Mart 10 p.m. featuring American Graffiti.



Saturday

- Alternative rock band Downplay will be opening act on the Key Bank and Salem Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge Stage at 5 and 6 p.m.

- Flag raising ceremonies with the U.S. Air Force 910th Airlift Wing honor guard and reserve Lt. Scott Allen singing the National Anthem.

- Beattles tribute band Abby Road jogs memories until 10 p.m. at the Key Bank and Salem Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge Stage.

- Big Foot on display at Expert Tire from 6 until 0 p.m.

-- Methodist strawberry fest across from city hall from 5:30 until 10 p.m.

- D.J. Big Rick at the Timberlanes Stage from 6 until 10 p.m. at the main show lot.

- Acoustic guitar at the Green Rose Bistro from 6 until 10 p.m.

- Cade and Jerry acoustic band at Mikes Penn Avenue Grille from 7 to 10 p.m.

- Rockers Metalourd on State Street at Price 2Sell Music

- D.J. on the deck a B.B. Rooners until 10 p.m.

- A new, large show car lot with Y-Town Tunes 50/60s D.J. Bob at the Butech Bliss lot between South Ellsworth and South Broadway Avenues from 6 to 10 p.m. with food and activities

- D.J at the Salem Club until 10 p.m.

- Classic, hair & 80s band Driving Force under the canopy at Donnell Ford from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m.

- Bounce house, kids games & activities by the First Friends Church at Donnell Ford.

- Mariacci band at Jaliscos Mexican Restaurant from 6 to 9 p.m.

- Drive-In theater at Wal-Mart at 10 p.m. featuring American Graffiti.



Sunday

- AMVETS Riders – Charity run and car cruise, approximately 130 miles total.

Registration: 9 a.m. Last bike out 11 a.m. $10/per. Call for info: 330-831-4872. AMVETS Post 45 is located at 750 S. Broadway Ave.

- Flag raising ceremonies by the Sons of Union Veterans - the 19th Ohio Light Artillery at 4 p.m. at the Key Bank and Salem Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge Stage.

-Rock City on the Key Bank and Salem Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge Stage from 4 until 7 p.m.

- Big Foot on display at Expert Tire from 4 until 7 p.m.

D.J. Big Rick at the Timberlanes stage from 4 to 7 p.m. at the main show lot.

- Large show car lot with Y-Town Tunes 50/60s D.J. Bob at the Butech Bliss lot between South Ellsworth and South Broadway avenues from 4 to 7 p.m. with food and activities.

- Acoustic guitar at the Hickory Rib from 4 to 7 p.m.

Monday

- Take a five mile trip through the country — for the End of the Nats cruise-in at the Old Stage Coach Inn and Tavern in North Georgetown from 5 to 8 p.m. Dash plaques and trophies.
