SALEM - Mary E. Hutcheson, 94, formerly of Salem died at 9:42 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the Greenbriar Healthcare Center in Boardman.
She was born July 26, 1913 in Hanover Township, the daughter of the late Earl J. and Katie (Miller) McLaughlin.
She attended the Salem First Presbyterian Church and was a member of the November Circle of the church.
Mary was a 1936 graduate of Salem High School, active with the Girl Scouts and Brownies for 10 years, served at various capacities with the Board of Elections, and was a Red Cross volunteer.
Survivors include three daughters, Sally Bertolette of Columbiana, Patricia (Larry) Proctor of Bessemer, Pa., and Janet (Steve) Powell of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Debbie Leffel, Christine Damschroder, Kevin Proctor, and Steven Proctor; great-grandchildren, Troy Leffel, Sean Leffel, Casandra Leffel, Katie Leffel, Magen Damschroder, Zackary Proctor, and Samantha Proctor.
Her husband, Harold K. Hutcheson, whom she married Feb. 8, 1936, preceded her in death on July 17, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, James Douglas Stamp; and a brother, James McLaughlin.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Meta Cramer officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Grandview Cemetery in Salem.
