Mr. and Mrs. Norman E. Crawford observe 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Norman E. Crawford of Middle Beaver Road, recently celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner party held on June 7 at Das Dutch Haus in Columbiana.

The former Dorothy Foy, daughter of John F. and Ann Elizabeth Will Foy, and raised by Raymond and Mabel G. Dumbaugh of Greenford, married Norm Crawford on June 21, 1948, at the Greenford Lutheran Church. He is the son of Harry B. and Lydia M. Dicken Crawford. Arvid E. Kuitumen officiated.

Mr. Crawford served as a truck driver in the 252nd Engine Combat Battalion from 1942-1945. He also retired from Food Haul Trucking Company in 1981 and from Crawford's Repair Shop in 2006 after 25 years in business.

Mrs. Crawford retired from the Beaver Local School District in 1993 after 28 years as a cook.

The couple are members of the Elkton United Methodist Church.

The Crawfords have three children, Barbara J. Stover of Lisbon, Pamela (Sam) Gorby of Negley, and Raymond (Deborah) Crawford of Oxford, Ala. They also have six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
